Virgo Season Meaning: Your Easy Reset Guide | Well With Brielle
I love Virgo season because it signals a serious but elegant shift from high vibe, confident and fun Leo season to a more focused but still confident Diva mode.
If I had to sum up Virgo season meaning in one idea, it’s a beautiful reset without starting over.
Recently, I closed out Leo season with celebrations — birthdays, dinners, getting dressed up, celebrating my mom and sister — and the shift into Virgo season honestly feels right on time.
Virgo Season is the calm before holidays arrive.
As a Virgo moon, I am looking forward to tapping into that vibe. I’m ready to organize, edit, and get back into routines, but without turning September into a massive life overhaul.
If you’re new to astrology or just starting to dig deeper into astrology meaning and zodiac seasons, Virgo season isn’t only for Virgos.
This zodiac season is simply the part of the year when the Sun moves through Virgo.
Or if you’ve ever wondered what Virgo season is or what Virgo season energy looks like in practice, that’s the simplest explanation.
In astrology, Virgo is traditionally associated with themes like routines, discernment, practical wellness, organization, details, and refinement.
Famous Virgos include Beyoncé, Zendaya, Michael Jackson, Blake Lively, and Kobe Bryant.
The dates right around the Leo-Virgo transition can get especially interesting: Hayden Panettiere’s August 21 birthday falls in Leo season, while Kobe Bryant’s August 23 birthday falls at the very beginning of Virgo season.
Virgos are known to be disciplined, hard working, and very detail-oriented.
Also, I mentioned that I’m a Virgo moon, but remember - you don’t have to suddenly become a different person because the zodiac season changed.
Instead, think of Virgo season as more like a seasonal prompt.
For instance, during specific seasons and holidays we often engage in certain rituals, celebrations, habits and even decorations.
Similarly, each season within astrology has its own vibe.
Here are some questions to consider during Virgo Season:
What could work a little better?
Where could life feel simpler?
Which task have you been meaning to finish?
What deserves your attention — and what doesn’t anymore?
These questions are perfect for journaling or storing in your journal on the Aurela App.
Keep reading for what Virgo season actually means, plus a few realistic ways to work with those themes in your everyday life.

Transitioning From Leo Season Into Virgo Season
The transition from Leo season to Virgo season in many ways signals the change in seasons and how our lifestyles shift as Fall settles in.
Although Leo Season directly precedes Virgo season, Leo season and Virgo season feel very different symbolically.
In my opinion both seasons do share some traits such as confidence and clear focus when it comes to what they desire. Both signs are divas in their own way and demand a level of expectations that translates to self care.
Leo season generally runs from July 23 through August 22, followed by Virgo season around August 23.
If you’ve ever wondered when Leo season starts and ends, those are the typical dates, although exact transitions can vary slightly by year.
The Leo zodiac sign is traditionally associated with visibility, creativity, confidence, celebration and self-expression.
Additionally, many Leos take great pride in their appearance. They cherish being considered stylish and are thoughtful in always aiming to intentionally curate their distinct style. The Leos I know are generally caring, but overall do not enjoy deep emotional conversations or drama unless it is light and fun in nature.
That makes it pretty fitting that my own Leo-season content this year includes birthdays, getting dressed up, dinners, family and celebrating people I love.
Then the zodiac moves into Virgo.
Virgo has a quieter, more practical reputation.
Instead of asking, “How do I want to express myself?” the Virgo archetype can bring up questions like:
What actually needs my attention?
Which routine would make my life easier?
What have I been meaning to organize?
Where are things working well and where am I repeating something simply because I’ve always done it that way?
It’s a shift from celebration into refinement.
And that’s one reason I enjoy thinking about zodiac seasons even outside of birthdays and horoscopes. They give me a different set of questions to work with.
Virgo Season Meaning: What It Actually Means
Virgo season dates generally run from August 23 through September 22, although the exact transition can shift slightly from year to year.
The simplest explanation is this:
A zodiac season describes which zodiac sign the Sun is currently moving through.
The Sun spends roughly a month moving through each of the twelve zodiac signs and completes the full cycle over the course of a year.
So when you hear someone say, “It’s Virgo season,” they mean the Sun is currently moving through Virgo.
That season happens for everyone at the same time, regardless of your personal zodiac sign.

Why Virgo Season Isn’t Just for Virgos
Your Sun sign is determined by where the Sun was when you were born.
In other words, if you were born while the Sun was moving through Virgo, then Virgo is your Sun sign.
But we all move through all twelve zodiac seasons every year.
So Virgo season isn’t a month where Virgos are the only ones who get to participate or enjoy the vibe that Virgo season brings.
Instead, the themes traditionally associated with Virgo give all of us something different to reflect on.
And if Virgo is your Sun sign, Happy Birthday!
Your solar return happens around your birthday, when the Sun returns to the same zodiac position it held when you were born.

What Virgo Energy Is Really About
Virgo usually gets reduced to words like organized, picky, practical, or perfectionist.
And for the women who embody that Virgo energy? I’d add diva and boss energy to the mix.
But I think the more useful theme is discernment, attention to detail, and having the discipline or natural inclination to stick to it.
Virgo is an earth sign, and earth signs are traditionally associated with practicality, grounding, and the tangible parts of life.
Instead of:
“Everything has to be perfect.”
Think:
“This is almost working. What would make it work better?”
That can apply to a routine.
Your schedule.
The home you live in.
Eating habits that you practice.
Beauty routines you engage in.
It’s the routines and rituals that some add to their to do list while a Virgo may naturally prioritize them.
Personally, I think of Virgo season as a season for editing and refining rather than starting from scratch.
It’s my season to enjoy the last of Summer’s glow, reap my rewards, and gear up for more!
I love goal setting and definitely consider that to be a part of my identity as a Virgo moon.
Virgo season is when children and young adults return to school, the weather shifts, and the focus becomes more family oriented.
Again, during Virgo season I’m not starting from scratch.
January already has that assignment.
By late summer aka Virgo season, most of us already have routines, goals, habits, spaces, and systems in motion.
Overall, Virgo season gives us a reason to look at what has been working well, what needs refinement, and determine our next steps for the new season.
Ways to Optimize Virgo Season Vibes
What is the Virgo season good for?
Virgo season is a time of the year that already has a natural reset feeling.
Summer starts winding down.
September approaches.
Schedules change.
The carefree parts of the summer season start giving way to a little more structure and routine.
Instead of reinventing everything, try using the season to refine what’s already there.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
Improving or implementing the morning routine that inspire you the most
Cleaning out the skincare products you never use or are nearly empty
Organizing at least one area of your home that you typically avoid keeping nice
Making your meals a little easier (explore what that means for you!)
Completing a task you keep postponing, but would truly move the needle
Reviewing and updating up your calendar
Simplifying a wellness habit so it’s easily a part of your regular routine
Eliminating what you no longer need (thoughts, routines, items, etc.)
Small edits can make daily life feel noticeably easier.

6 Wellness Rituals for Virgo Season
1. Edit One Space — Not Your Whole Home
Pick one area.
Some areas to start that could create a big shift include:
Your nightstand.
Bathroom cabinet.
Entryway.
Desk.
Closet shelf.
Kitchen drawer.
Finish that one space completely before moving on to another.
One completely clean and organized area typically feels better than having half-done rooms or projects. It’s a clear success that you can cross off your check list rather than a multi-step project that drags on for days.
And if you tend to get ambitious with a reset, this is your reminder that the entire house does not have to become a weekend project.
Always move at your own pace because that’s self care too.
2. Adjust a Routine to Pick it Back Up
If one of your routines disappeared in the past, it’s okay, you don’t have to automatically restart it at full volume.
Instead, focus on getting started and building that habit into your existing routine.
I’ve found that when you bring back the smallest version, it can feel like a huge win that’s still very useful.
Here are some examples of healthy habits you can simplify and add to your routine:
If you used to journal for twenty minutes, maybe you start with five.
Scripting, brain dumps and journal prompts are some of my favorite ways to reset. In Aurela, you can also turn the shorter version of the routine you’re rebuilding into a custom ritual, so it’s ready when you need it.
It’s important that everyone works out regularly throughout the week.
If getting back to your workout routine is your goal, then maybe the first step is simply moving your body again instead of designing the perfect weekly workout. Another great first step could be working out at home where you may be most comfortable or stepping back into your typical workout environment long enough to get a good workout - it doesn’t have to be the full routine.
If your nighttime routine has ten steps and you keep skipping six of them, maybe the routine only needs four.
It’s your life so always explore what works best for you and be willing to adjust as life naturally shifts like the seasons.
Moreover, a shorter routine you actually follow is more useful and a bigger success than an elaborate one you constantly feel behind on.
Your wellness habits should support all dimensions of your wellness and that includes your emotional and mental wellness- AKA how you feel.

3. Make One Habit Specific
Keep it simple, but effective by being specific about one habit or routine that you would like to follow.
Here are some examples of healthy habits you can be more specific about.
“Drink more water.”
“Get organized.”
“Sleep better.”
“Meditate more.”
These healthy habits all sound like goals, but really they are vague statements. A helpful sign that you’re ready to make a change is being able to get specific about what you actually want to do.
To help with this, I’d recommend SMART goals.
First, make that one habit measurable enough that you know whether it happened.
For example:
“I’ll drink a full glass of water before my morning coffee.”
“At 10:30, I’ll put my phone down.”
“I’ll meditate for five minutes after I get into bed.”
“Before I finish work I will clear my desk.”
The more specific the habit, the less energy you have to spend deciding what it means every day.
Looking for more ideas?
Once you've named the specific habit, build it as a ritual in Aurela so it's ready for you tomorrow instead of living in your head.
4. Choose One Lower-Toxic Swap
A lower-tox swap means replacing something you regularly use with an option whose ingredients or materials better fit your preferences and wellness goals.
You do not need to throw out everything in your home and replace it overnight.
That’s expensive, wasteful, and overwhelming.
Instead, when something runs out, consider whether you want to replace it with an option whose ingredients or materials you feel better about using regularly.
Maybe that’s a body product.
A cleaning spray.
Cookware.
A candle.
Food storage.
Laundry products.
One thoughtful replacement at a time is still a meaningful change.
Aurela has a low-tox swap checklist for exactly this — eight swaps, ticked off one at a time, so you can see what you've already changed instead of feeling behind on what you haven't.
5. Complete One Item You’ve Been Avoiding
It could be anything. Some examples include:
Am appointment.
Completing paperwork.
Returning or exchanging products.
Changing the light bulb or smoke detector.
Drafting or sending an email.
Organizing and clearing out your email inbox.
Cleaning up a small area or space, such as a junk drawer.
Choose the item that takes fifteen minutes (maybe more, ha) but has somehow occupied mental space for three weeks and would be wonderful to get done.
Simply pick one, finish it, and celebrate that it’s done.
There’s something incredibly satisfying about finally closing one of those tiny open loops.
6. Build the Routine for the Person You Actually Are
This one matters.
Well With Brielle is all about self care because your routines should reflect your own needs across the different dimensions of wellness.
A lot of wellness advice assumes we all want the same schedule and share the exact same goals. Well with Brielle doesn’t.
Wake up early.
Drink green juices.
Journal everything.
Meditate.
Work out.
Read.
Rest well.
Plan your entire day before sunrise while keeping all devices off and out of sight.
A routine or lifestyle that may work beautifully for some, may not be for everyone and as I mentioned your needs can shift just like the season.
Always choose what you desire and ultimately what will work well for you.
Your routine should support the person you actually are, the life you actually have, and the things that genuinely make you feel better.
Virgo season is a good time to stop trying to force routines that look beautiful on paper but never quite fit your real life.
Instead, Virgo season is a great time to go into diva mode- get disciplined, focused and enjoy your success, queen!

Virgo Season Reset, A Gentle Week by Week Guide
Generally, Virgo season lasts about four weeks, which makes it perfect for a slower reset.
Instead of doing everything at once, consider giving each week of Virgo season one focus. If you enjoy a challenge, or feel that one is not enough, build one each healthy habit by continuing it the next week, biweekly or at whatever pace will serve you.
Week One: Edit Your Space
Choose one room or one area and edit it properly.
I chose the word edit because it’s so Virgo coded!
Remember, Virgos can be naturally detail oriented so imagine yourself as an expert housekeeper or a luxe interior designer and give at least one space or area your best.
First, clear surfaces.
It can be easier to see the vision and end-goal when you start with a clear, clean space.
Also clean, visually appealing spaces may naturally boost your mood. I’ve even explored Feng Shui and implemented some of those practices.
Check this out:
3 Bedroom Feng Shui Tips to Help You Sleep Well
Next, decide how you would like the space organized and put items back where they actually make sense.
This could be based on how it looks, makes you feel or the practicality of the overall item.
Also, this next one is optional, but can be a great way to express gratitude and give back while clearing your space for new items or fresh vibes:
Donate (or if it’s not in good condition get rid of) what you aren’t using.
I’ve gone through my minimalism phase - so this isn’t a push for that, but rather a call to examine your items and make room as needed.
These could be items that someone else could use that you haven't used ever (or in a very long time). If you decide you need them in the future, it may be better to treat yourself to the latest version or model anyways.
Remember, the goal isn’t a Pinterest-perfect room, but one that makes you feel good.
If you are aiming for Pinterest-perfection- start here and work your way towards it.
Rome wasn’t built in a day and this can be another fun opportunity to truly curate what you need instead of possibly copying something you saw verbatim.
This is one of my favorite ways to tap into Virgo energy and overall reset because you’ll have a space that functions better when you wake up tomorrow. It’s a beautiful reward.
Week Two: Refine Your Routine
Take some time to honestly review and examine your days, specifically your mornings and evenings.
Which parts work well?
What do you constantly skip?
Are there any steps that no longer serve you?
Remove one unnecessary step.
Add one thing that would genuinely make your routine easier.
It can be anything you want because this is for you!
Week Three: Review Your Inputs
Take a moment to review what you consume on a regular basis.
To be clear, this includes more than food.
Think about what you’re taking in all day via the lens of each dimension of wellness:
Regular activities you engage in
The food and beverages you consume
Caffeine, Salt, Sugar, that it added by you or naturally in some of your regular drinks and foods
News, entertainment, conversations and social media videos, posts, and overall discussions that you think about
If something typically leaves you feeling worse, more anxious, more behind, or more scattered, pay attention to that.
Similarly, note what boosts your mood naturally and gives you extra encouragement to have a good day.
Week Four: Ramp Up Your Calendar
By ramping up your calendar I do not mean that you need to add more.
In contrast, I’m suggesting you sharpen your calendar as you would any useful tool.
Look at what’s coming up.
What needs to happen?
Are there activities you are most looking forward to?
What if anything should move or be removed completely?
Perhaps, you’ve even scheduled items that you intended to complete, but have yet to do. Ask yourself: Does this need to be refined or discarded?
Is there anything that you are trying to squeeze into a week where it simply does not fit?
Are you getting enough self care and in ways that feel best for you?
A realistic calendar is a wellness tool too.
At the end of four weeks, you have four real changes instead of one giant reset you abandoned halfway through.
Will you participate in this gentle Virgo Season Reset? It’s perfect for any time.

Eating Well Without the Pressure
Is eating well or better a part of your wellness priorities?
Eating well does not require a detailed diet plan, loads of money, or hours of your Sunday trying to meal prep everything for the week.
Often, it’s the small changes that build larger healthier habits.
Maybe you just need to remove one point of friction because if it’s in your heart (anything) and you want it - I do believe it can be yours.
Focus on your healthy eating goals and identify either what is most important or the biggest barrier currently delaying your progress.
For example, perhaps you don’t enjoy cooking so meal prepping still feels like a big lift.
Make Meal Prep Easier in Smaller Steps
A solution could be that you make easier meals that require less cooking steps. Salads (including those that are not lettuce or greens based), soups, one pot meals, slow cooker meals, and oven baked meals are all easy, low-effort ways to create delicious meals that meet your healthy eating goals.
If meal prepping is a challenge, but you know you’d benefit from having it completed each week, break down the steps like you would a project.
Instead of spending hours in one day, you can prep throughout the week and build a rotating routine that fits with your other activities.
Here’s what has worked well for me:
First, prep one component.
This could mean having your meal prep containers washed, dried and ready to be filled.
Or it could mean a simple, but effective action like thoughtfully curating your grocery shopping list.
Next, find opportunities to make the meal prepping task fun. If you enjoy shopping, roam each aisle to get ideas on what to buy next.
Of course you can splurge and treat yourself to something new, but if you’re on a budget it can be something to look forward to during your next trip.
Speaking of budgets, if you do not enjoy grocery shopping or something about going in person and getting your groceries doesn’t work well for you, there are options that are low cost or even free.
Not to mention this will all save you time, ideally giving you more time for self care and activities you enjoy.
Options for avoiding shopping in person:
Order via delivery service to have your groceries delivered directly to your door. Amazon offers several convenient delivery options, including grocery delivery from participating stores depending on where you live.
If having your groceries delivered still isn’t affordable, ordering for pick up is typically free and will still save you a lot of time.
Finish Your Meal Prep in Small Steps
After your meal prep supplies, food, and everything you need is available, continue small but meaningful steps to get the meal prep process done.
Once your groceries are home, immediately put them away.
Wash your produce like vegetables and fruit, so they are easy to consume as snacks. Additionally, your clean produce will always be ready once you cook your meals.
Build a Few Easy Foods Into Your Week
At this point I would pause, and save the next steps for another time, but if you have more energy you can continue with these steps:
Cook one protein. I like to cook my protein in bulk and use it with different combinations of other foods so it’s easily creating a variety of meals without much extra effort on my part.
Thirdly, plan to have a few healthy snacks.
Personally, I don't eat a lot of traditional snacks, but I do love to have small little meals or snacks on hand throughout the day.
This is especially helpful during busy days or low effort self care days where you really just wanna enjoy Girl Dinner.
Lastly, keep one simple dinner in rotation that you can still make when you’re tired and the day runs longer than expected.
You can also over time build a list of healthy, delicious recipes that you plan to rotate throughout your meal prepping.
Ultimately, the goal isn’t to create the perfect meal plan.
If you want something to keep you honest without counting anything, Aurela's Today's plate is three check-ins a day. No calories, no tracking — just showing up for you and the healthy eating habits you choose.
Instead, the aim is to enhance the healthy foods you’re enjoying, make healthy choices easier, and overall create a life you love.
The Virgo Season Beauty Edit
Everything has an expiration date including our beauty products that we use on our body.
It’s important to use products that are still fresh and that work well for your needs. It’s okay to try new items, but be sure to review your collection and clean up as needed.
Ready for your beauty edit? Here’s how to get started:
Initially, ask yourself, “When was the last time you cleaned, organized, and truly reviewed your beauty products?”
A key part of your health and wellness isn’t just your movement and what you eat, it’s also what you put on your skin.
Use this Virgo Season to review your beauty routine and maximize it not just for the physical visuals, but also for the health of your body.
Let’s get started with this beauty edit!
First, take everything out of your skincare or beauty drawer.
Second, check expiration dates. Toss anything that has expired, is running extremely low (nearly empty), or anything you’re unsure is still within its recommended use period.
Next, with what is remaining, look at what you actually use.
If it’s time, make plans to restock your favorite products that are now empties.
Build a Beauty Routine You’ll Actually Use
Decide which remaining items fit into your real beauty routine, which are rare and okay for special occasions, and which are never used.
Then put back the items that you will keep and plan to use.
I like to be strategic by placing my dailies on a cute marble and gold tray in the bathroom.
I’m also super intentional about switching out my shower/bath items often to keep it exciting and to make sure I’m using everything.
It’s so easy once you have many favorites, to stick with just 1-2 and forget about the others.
Intentionally rotating and updating your core products each week, month, or even quarter can feel exciting and fun.
Once you've decided on the routine you'll actually keep, Aurela has a Skincare card for it — morning cleanse, moisturize, SPF; evening cleanse, treat, moisturize. Six little boxes, reset every day. Consistency is the part that's hard, not the product list.
Also, a simpler routine that truly fits can make it easier to be consistent because you’re not constantly rotating through products just because they’re sitting there.
A simpler routine also allows you to clearly track and understand what’s working well for you.
And as something runs out, you can decide whether you actually want to repurchase it or try something different.
Not to mention, if you’re on a budget it is much easier to track consistent purchases rather than buying new items each time.
No giant beauty overhaul required.
This can be a quick, but effective review!
Your Environment Affects Your Day
Environmental wellness is one of the easiest parts of wellness to overlook, and yet it can have an impact on all the other dimensions of wellness including how successful they are.
Your surroundings affect how easy or difficult everyday tasks feel and can influence your health too.
Visual clutter, actual dust/clutter, unfinished projects, or a space that simply doesn’t function well can make daily life feel more mentally noisy.
Review the Spaces You Spend the Most Time In
Review your regular activities and list the places you typically spend most of your time at.
How does that space make you feel? What’s working well? What isn’t ideal?
Additionally, review how often you’re getting outside for fresh air, how well your sleeping environment supports restful slumber, and the environments you socialize in.
Basically, editing a space can mean you directly transform it if it’s your home or a space that you own.
Additionally, the edit could be that you make a change.
Overall, the goal is for your edits to enhance your environments so they best serve your needs and so the space feels calmer and easier.
The goal is simply to make your environment support the way you actually live or want to live.

Here are journal prompts for Virgo Season:
What am I doing out of habit rather than because it still works?
Where am I being precise about something that doesn’t actually matter?
What small, boring task would give me the most relief if I finished it?
What part of my routine is creating unnecessary friction?
What would make September feel easier?
What does “good enough” look like here — specifically?
That last question might be the most Virgo-season question of all.

The Virgo Season Caution: Refining Forever
Virgos are well known for their attention to detail to the point that they are sometimes referred to as ‘perfectionists’.
No one is perfect and perfect is not the goal- health and happiness is.
Every useful quality has a point where it works and should be left as is.
So decide what “done” means before you start and once you’ve hit that point, appreciate your win.
Edit.
Improve.
Then stop.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is finally let something be finished.
Well with Brielle Tip:
Start with ONE intentional edit. Choose the routine, space, habit, or task that would make your everyday life feel noticeably easier, refine that first, and let the rest come later.

Virgo Season FAQ
Do I need to be a Virgo for Virgo season to matter?
No.
Everyone moves through all twelve zodiac seasons each year.
You can use the themes associated with the season.
Also, consider whether or not Virgo appears prominently in your own chart.
What are the Virgo season dates? When does Virgo season start? Is August 22 Leo or Virgo?
The beginning of Virgo season is typically in August with the first day of Virgo season often being August 23rd.
Generally, Virgo season dates generally run from around August 23 through September 22, although the exact transition can shift slightly depending on the year.
August 22nd is typically a Leo, but anyone born very close to the zodiac transition should check their exact birth date, time, and location to confirm their Sun sign. It’s a special birthday for me (not mine) and because it’s literally on the cusp, that Leo is very strict with when their Leo season ends, haha.
Overall, it’s interesting how being born on the cusp of zodiac signs may also have influence.
What if I was born right when the zodiac signs change?
If you were born very close to the transition between two signs, checking a birth chart using your exact birth date — and ideally your birth time and location — is the best way to determine where the Sun was when you were born.
Additionally, being born on the cusp of when zodiac signs shift is special. Find ways to celebrate what makes you truly you.
I’m not on an exact cusp, but my birthday is within a couple days of when the zodiac signs transitions, so some do consider me to be a cusp baby.
Is Virgo season a good time to start something new?
You can start something at any time.
Truly access your lifestyle, schedule, emotions, and other aspects of your life to decide if you’re ready to try something new.
If your intent is to make that new activity a lifestyle, assess your readiness to commit and determine ways to naturally incorporate it into your routine.
Astrologically, Virgo season is traditionally associated with refining, organizing, and making things more workable, so I especially like it for improving something that’s already in motion.
But if you do want to start something new, keep it specific and realistic.
What’s the difference between Virgo season and being a Virgo?
Virgo season is a period of the year that everyone experiences.
Being a Virgo Sun means the Sun was moving through Virgo when you were born. In other words, you were born during the season of Virgo.
It’s Virgo season. What does Virgo season bring?
In astrology, Virgo season traditionally brings themes of refinement, organization, practical wellness, routines, discernment, and attention to detail.
I like to use those themes as prompts rather than rules.
What does Virgo mean in astrology?
The Virgo season meaning I find most useful centers on refinement, routines, discernment and practical wellness.
Who are some famous Virgos?
Famous Virgos include Beyoncé, Zendaya, Michael Jackson, Blake Lively, and Kobe Bryant.

Final Thoughts On Virgo Season
You don’t need to know everything about astrology to use a zodiac season as a meaningful seasonal reset.
Virgo season’s themes give us a useful question: What could work better without becoming bigger?
Choose one thing.
Make it easier.
Simplify the routine.
Edit the space.
Finish the task.
